Outfielder Alex Castellanos is back with the Dodgers (his third trip up this season). Castellanos, 26, figures to have a limited role, but he might be useful as an occasional pinch runner or pinch hitter. He is 3-for-22 with a triple in 12 games.
He should welcome the change of venue in more than one way. The high temperature in Albuquerque, where Castellanos has been playing, was 96 degrees Friday. The high temperature in San Francisco is 67 degrees.
Castellanos was the player the Dodgers acquired for shortstop Rafael Furcal last season.
