Bench coach Tim Wallach, who has long been interested in managing, will take over the Dodgers’ next two spring training games. Manager Don Mattingly will be out of camp the next two days after a death in the family, the team said.

The Dodgers play the Arizona Diamondbacks and Cincinnati Reds the next two games, both at Camelback Ranch.

Pitcher Zack Greinke is scheduled to pitch Wednesday, his first Cactus League outing since he strained his right calf in his first start on Feb. 27. Greinke has been ruled out of pitching in Australia, where the Dodgers open the season.

Mattingly is expected to return in time to manage Friday’s game against the Chicago Cubs at the new Cubs park.
