Colletti: Time for "another chapter''

Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti finally let his guard down this morning when asked about the ownership situation and the impending sale of the club. Colletti, who by all accounts has always had a strong relationship with outgoing owner Frank McCourt, who hired Colletti as the team's GM in November 2005, said he is looking forward to the transfer of ownership simply so the Dodgers can move on.

"At this stage, it will be good to get another chapter going,'' Colletti said. "These have been a different couple of years, but change is coming.''

Colletti said he brought up the situation while addressing the team during a clubhouse meeting on Tuesday morning, the same meeting he and manager Don Mattingly always hold just before the first full-squad workout of spring training.

"At the end (of the meeting),'' Colletti said. "I mentioned where I thought we were and that (the ownership change) is nothing they should be worried about.''
