The Los Angeles Kings and Phoenix Coyotes will open the Western Conference finals Sunday in Glendale, Ariz., the league announced Thursday.
Game 1 is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. PT. Game 2 is set for Tuesday at 6 p.m., also in Arizona.
The Kings are playing in just their second conference championship in the franchise’s 45-year history. The Coyotes are playing in their first conference final.
The eighth-seeded Kings have been off since Sunday after sweeping the second-seeded St. Louis Blues in four games. The Coyotes wrapped up their series Monday against the Nashville Predators with a Game 5 victory.
The remaining schedule is expected to be announced later today.
