The Los Angeles Lakers roster could look drastically different next season, but their games will sound just the same on 710 ESPN.

The Lakers signed radio play-by-play announcer John Ireland and color analyst Mychal Thompson to multi-year contract extensions, the team announced Monday.

Ireland, a fixture on the L.A. sports scene, took over as the team's radio play-by-play announcer last year after serving as the Lakers' TV sideline reporter since 2002. He previously called games as the Los Angeles Clippers' play-by-play announcer for five season. He is a four-time local Emmy Award winner and can be heard weekdays on the "Mason & Ireland Show" on 710 ESPN.

Thompson, will enter into his 10th season as the Lakers’ radio color analyst, and was a former player for the Lakers and was a member of the Lakers’ championship teams in 1987 and 1988. Thompson was able two offer a unique perspective on the league last season as two of his sons, Klay and Mychel, were rookies on the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, respectively.
