EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Lakers probably will be without guards Jodie Meeks and Jordan Farmar through the All-Star break, coach Mike D'Antoni said Saturday after the team's practice.

Meeks badly sprained his ankle Tuesday night in Minnesota and Farmar left Wednesday's game in Cleveland because of cramping and didn't return. The former UCLA star had just returned to the lineup last week after injuring and then re-injuring his hamstring in the last two months.

"I think a lot of these guys, because the All-Star break is right around the corner, they'll probably take advantage of those days so we'll probably have to go with what we've got right now," D'Antoni said of potential return dates for Meeks and Farmar.

Farmar is officially listed as day-to-day. There's a small chance he plays before the All-Star break, but the Lakers preference is to keep him out and give him longer to heal.

"If everybody is healthy and we can spare him, we will try to," D'Antoni said of Farmar. "We're going to err on the side of caution because he's already screwed up his hamstring twice, we're not going to do it a third time."
