Is there any bigger St. Patrick's Day tradition than a Kamenetzky Brothers Land O' Lakers PodKast? Absolutely not, which is why you don't wanna be the only person at the pub tonight who didn't listen to it. Everyone else will be dropping references from the show and getting a free shot of Jameson from an amused bartender, while you're alone in a corner nursing overpriced flat beer with a green dye aftertaste. Don't be that guy.
-(1:26): As Brian mentioned earlier, there could be a conflict of interest between St. Patrick's Day green-centric vibe and purple and gold loyalty. We lay out options for the Laker Nation. And remember, it's okay to pinch people not wearing green. Punching them? Not so much.
-(10:25): We discuss the importance of four-game stretch against the lowly likes of Golden State, Sacramento, Minnesota and Washington. It's a crapola squad quartet, but we're also entering the home stretch of the regular season and the Lakers haven't really developed a consistent flow. Such a goal is easier reached against the NBA bottom feeders, so it would behoove the Lakers to take seriously their chance to tune up. The readers we polled tend to agree.
-(15:48): The state of the backup backcourt gets analyzed. Jordan Farmar's role appears to be shrinking, Sasha Vujacic's could be increasing, and Shannon Brown's remains steady, if perhaps beyond his capabilities. How might the reserve rotation shake out?
-(25:06): Is it possible to celebrate Pecan Day -which isn't to be confused with National Pecan Day, but that everybody knows that- by sending someone a card made from an actual pecan pie? I firmly believe in this possibility.
-(29:38): Andrew Bynum has scored 18 or more in his last four games, defended Dwight Howard well despite battling foul trouble in the game preceding the aforementioned quartet, and appears extremely dialed in at the moment. For his part, Pau Gasol has steadily demonstrated signs of life after enduring a pretty marked slump. These developments merged in a dominating showing against the Kings. Naysayers have consistently doubted the two can excel together. What must happen to prove that opinion incorrect?
-(35:20): You know why everyone loves National Noodle Month? Because "noodles" is a funny word. Say it. You'll laugh. Guaranteed. You'll also laugh and have a good time at this weekend's Lakers Fan Jam, an event Brian and I will play a role in hosting. Get a ticket and join the fun.
