Reinhardt leads Mater Dei

So, wasn't this supposed to be some kind of showdown, a test of Mater Dei's mettle on the East Coast? If it was, the Monarchs will be laughing all the way through three time zones as they scored an 88-50 victory over Middle Village (NY) Christ the King on Monday in the Spalding Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass.

UNLV-bound Katin Reinhardt set a school record with nine three-point baskets en route to a 35-point performance. Reinhardt tied the record held by Coach Gary McKnight's son, Clay McKnight.

Firing away for ESPNLA's No. 1-ranked team, Reinhardt made 13 of 19 shots.

Elijah Brown added 15 points and Xavier Johnson 12 for Mater Dei (16-2), which has had only only four games decided by more than its 38-point margin of victory against CTK (9-5), one of the storied programs on the East Coast.
