St. Paul football coach Elijah Asante, who led Carson to the CIF Los Angeles City Section championship game the last two seasons, is continuing his linemen camp at the new digs.

Asante's "Trenchmen Academy" is scheduled for the upcoming weekend at St. Paul in Santa Fe Springs. It kicks off Friday at 6 p.m. with an information session on academic requirements for college qualification. On Saturday morning, linemen will weight train, study film and go through a variety of competitions. The camp closes Sunday with two hours of community service.

A number of elite lineman participated in the camp last year, including Santa Margarita's Max Tuerk (USC), Dominguez's Lacy Westbrook (UCLA) and Corona Centennial's Milo Jordan (Arizona State). Registration is $100. For more information, contact Asante at coachelijah@gmail.com.

St. Paul recently hired former USC offensive lineman Zack Heberer as offensive line/strength and conditioning coach.
