Jeff Woodruff, an assistant coach on the University of Texas El Paso football team, is expected to be hired as the Oaks Christian football coach, according to a report on the Daily News website.

Woodruff has been an assistant coach at UTEP since 2007 and is currently the tight ends coach. He was also the safeties coach and special team coordinator from 2004 to '06.

Woodruff would replace Bill Redell as the Oaks Christian coach. Redell was the first coach of the Oaks Christian football team and led the Lions to the past two CIF-Southern Section Northern Division championship games. He won the championship in 2010, but lost to Westlake in 2011.
