Long Beach Poly defensive end Corey Waller was the toughest Jackrabbit for St. Bonaventure to gameplan against Friday night as a disruptive force in the passing game.

Both Marc Evans and Tanner Souza of the Seraphs said it. But, at the end of the night, it didn't matter all that much, as St. Bonaventure rolled into Veterans Stadium and rolled over host Poly, 32-7.

After the game, Waller expressed his disappointment with his team's collective effort against a premier opponent in St. Bonaventure. The Jackrabbits started off fine, forcing a Seraph punt early on, getting possession of the ball and getting a first down.

But a quick fumble picked up by Souza and returned for a touchdown put the momentum in St. Bonaventure's court. The Seraphs went on to score two more touchdowns in the first half and the outcome was never in doubt.

"At that point, I don't even know what happened," Waller said. "It just felt like we all gave up.

"That's what it felt like."

As far as recruiting, Waller is a three-star defensive end/outside linebacker who is being courted by both USC and UCLA -- although he has yet to receive an offer from either of the two schools. His first-choice school at this point is the Steve Sarkisian-led Washington Huskies, and he's also considering both Oregon schools.

See what Waller said about the loss, how Poly can bounce back and how his senior season is shaping up in a video interview taken Friday night:
