3. Canyon, 19-2, (3) — Chris Anderson & Co. were headed for a big Century League game against Villa Park on Tuesday.

4. Mission Viejo, 22-0 (4) — Living dangerously, the Diablos scored three five-point wins last week, including 54-51 over Capo Valley. They have won four in a row by five points or fewer.

5. Aliso Niguel, 20-1 (5) — It’s not a league game, but the contest Friday at Mission Viejo is big for the Wolverines; they’ll try to avenge their only loss.

6. Edison, 20-1, (6) — Dylan Garrity just needs to lead Chargers past Fountain Valley this week to set up showdown with Huntington Beach.

7. Corona del Mar, 14-7 (7) —Tough nonleague schedule continues to pay dividends in league, and the Sea Kings avenged an earlier nonleague loss to Upland as well.

8. Capistrano Valley, 17-5 (8) — The Cougars led Mission Viejo heading into the fourth quarter by two points but couldn’t seal the deal.

9. Huntington Beach, 16-6 (10) — The Oilers have an important date against Los Alamitos on Friday if they hope to win the Sunset League title in their Feb. 2 game against Edison.

10. Villa Park, 16-6 (NR) — The Spartans played Canyon tough in the first round and three other losses are by three points or fewer.
