Poly reigns supreme in Moore League
By Blair Angulo
Long Beach Poly continued its torrid pace Friday night, earning a 66-56 win at Compton to increase its lead in the Moore League to two games. That may be all the Jackrabbits (18-1, 8-0) need. They have won 15 straight since losing to Loyola in the Redondo Pacific Shores Tournament final.
Junior wing Roschon Prince led the way Friday with 35 points and 12 rebounds, helping Poly extend its league winning streak to 34 games.
It appears as if Orange Lutheran is the only team standing in between Poly and a 23-1 regular-season record. The teams meet next Saturday night in the Nike Extravaganza at Mater Dei.
