LA North, IE and OC: Championship Thursday in high school basketball

A number of area teams are playing for tournament championships tonight.
The Loyola boys basketball team is in the championship game of the Oaks Christian Holiday Classic against Etiwanda.
Loyola beat Valencia, 68-59, in the semifinals. Etiwanda won its semifinal game, 68-54, over Sacramento.
In the Marin Catholic tournament, Crespi is going up against University from Irvine in the championship game.

Crespi beat St. Joseph’s Notre Dame, 58-51, in the semifinals. University won its semifinal game, 72-65, over Casa Granda from Petaluma.
In the Ventura Tournament, the Canyon boys are playing host Ventura in the championship game. Canyon beat Lakewood, 60-49, in the semifinals. Ventura romped over Rio Mesa, 75-39, in the other semifinal.
In the Desert Heat Invitational at Cathedral City High School, the undefeated Thousand Oaks boys basketball team is playing Capistrano Valley in the National Division championship game.
Thousand Oaks beat Victor Valley, 73-66, in the semifinals and improved to 13-0.
The Sierra Canyon boys from Chatsworth are playing Westview from San Diego in the championship game of the Mayors Division in the Torrey Pines Tournament in San Diego.
Sierra Canyon beat Fallbrook, 76-56, in the semifinals.
On the girls side, Hart and Montclair Prep are playing in the championship game of the La Canada Tournament.
