O.C.: Cypress wins Elks

Jimmy Jackson connected on six three-point baskets and scored 26 points to lead Cypress to a 63-45 victory Friday over Glendora in the championship of the Elks Holiday Classic at Century High.

Jackson, the tournament MVP, was complemented by A.J. Adams, who scored 18 as Cypress won for the 14th time in 15 games. Glendora fell to 11-4.

Cypress coach Jeff Russell said his team has a lot of confidence that it can match any team's challenge right now.

In the third place game, Paramount beat Placentia Valencia in overtime, 64-56.
