11/14/2011

The top five performances in south Los Angeles County for the last week of the regular season:

RB J.R. Nelson (Hacienda Heights Wilson): The senior tailback rushed for 401 yards and five touchdowns to help the Wilson Wildcats avoid a winless season. He needed only 24 carries.

WR Bryce Treggs (St. John Bosco): Facing a win-or-stay-home scenario, the senior stepped up in a big way for the Braves. He had eight receptions for 155 yards and a touchdown.

QB Christian Smith (St. Bernard): Smith, who also earned a helmet sticker in Week 9, threw for six touchdowns in the Del Rey League title game Friday. The Vikings are 10-0.

RB Ronnie Vaughn (Gardena Serra): The Cavs didn't miss leading rusher Anterio Bateman too much. Vaughn had 221 yards and two scores to lead them to the Mission League crown.

RB Kwame Do (San Marino): Do carried the ball 32 times for 224 yards and four touchdowns to secure second place in the Rio Hondo League.
