Coaching changes at La Canada, Bell-Jeff

La Canada's football coach resigned and Bellarmine-Jefferson has a new football coach.

Dan Yoder stepped down as head coach of the La Canada football team, ending his three-year stint at the helm, according to a report in the Daily News.

David Machuca was hired as the new football coach at Bell-Jeff. He was an assistant at Chaminade for three season under head coach Ed Croson.

Machuca takes over for Rolando Aguirre, who was the head coach at Bell-Jeff for 13 seasons.

Harvard-Westlake football coach Vic Eumont is the latest to resign since the end of the high school football season, according to a report in the Daily News.

Andy Kasek resigned as the Sylmar football coach after a tumultuous season. The Spartans went 3-7 and several players quit the team midseason.

Bellarmine-Jefferson football coach Rolando Aguirre resigned after 13 seasons at the helm of the Guards. He won three league titles in 13 seasons at Bell-Jeff.

L.A. Washington, St. Paul, South Gate and Long Beach Millikan are among schools searching for new football coaches, according to the Los Angeles Times.
