Anderson averaged 20.8 points, 7.6 assists, 7.5 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game for the Comanches (26-4 overall), who had their season end a bit prematurely with a seven-point loss to Fontana Summit in a Southern Section Division 2AA playoff quarterfinal a couple of short weeks ago.

Division I coaches and scouts kept a watchful eye on Anderson during that span. UC Irvine and Pennsylvania offered scholarships and Pac-10 Conference schools such as Oregon State and Stanford were among the others who expressed varied levels of interest in Anderson, brother of UCLA's Jerime Anderson.
