2012 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING

Portugal at Bosnia & Herzegovina

ESPN Deportes, 10:55 a.m.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his fellow Portuguese stars are 180 minutes from Euro 2012, and to fail to advance would be disastrous. But the Bosnians narrowly missed out on an automatic berth, finishing second to France by a point in Group D, and a home victory could be enough to prod them through.

Also

Croatia at Turkey, ESPN Deportes, 1 p.m.

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY

United States at France

ESPN2 and Univision (KMEX/Channel 34), 11:55 a.m.

Jurgen Klinsmann takes the U.S. back to Europe for a showdown with the French, who are restoring respectability following the South African debacle. Consider this another benchmark game: Can the Americans possess and attack, or are they at the mercy of Les Bleus' technicians?

Also

Germany at Ukraine, ESPN Deportes, 4 p.m.

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY

Serbia at Mexico

Univision (KMEX/Channel 34), 5:50 p.m.

Rafa Marquez's temper cost him a roster spot in the Mexicans' final friendly of the year -- Jose Manuel “Chepo” de la Torre left him out of the squad after that red card against the Galaxy -- but the other big names are available to take on the Serbs, who just missed out on the Euro 2012 playoffs.

USD, which has won its last seven to claim a share of the West Coast Conference title, dropped a 3-2 home decision to UCI in late September.

The seventh-ranked Waves don't give up a lot of goals and are capable of scoring in bunches. Long Beach, which won the Big West tournament, has an explosive attack and has shut out four foes on a five-game winning streak. It makes for what could be a dynamite first-round NCAA tournament matchup.
