Former U.S. national team (and Chivas USA) head coach Bob Bradley's debut as Egypt's national team coach came with a defeat.

It was against Brazil, so losing wasn't so unexpected

Jonas Oliveira scored in the 39th and 59th minutes to lead the Brazilians to a 2-0 victory Monday in Doha, Qatar.

It was the first game the Manhattan Beach-based coach has been part of since he was dismissed as U.S. coach in late July, about a month after the Yanks' loss to Mexico in the CONCACAF Gold Cup final.

Jurgen Klinsmann is 1-4-1 since taking charge of the U.S., with another game Tuesday against Slovenia (ESPN2, 9 a.m.).

Bradley's staff includes La Verne-based goalkeeper coach Zak Abdel, a former Egyptian national-teamer who worked with Bradley with the U.S. and Chivas USA and also coached with the Galaxy.
