GALAXY: Keane can't make happy home

Robbie Keane will depart his short-term loan with Aston Villa in two weeks without something he dearly wanted: a victory in front of the home fans.

Villa offered little in attack in Sunday's 1-0 English Premier League loss to first-place Manchester City, extending their home winless streak to seven games since Nov. 5 -- five of them losses -- the longest in the club's Premier League history.

The Birmingham club had tied its first two games with Keane, the Galaxy striker who has one game, Feb. 25 at Wigan Athletic, left with the Villans before returning to Los Angeles for the Major League Soccer season.

Joleon Lescott scored from a corner kick in the 67th minute for Man City (19-3-3), which won for just the second time in seven road games to vault back into first, two points ahead of Manchester United (18-3-4), which had gone in front with a victory Saturday over Liverpool.

Aston Villa (6-9-10) dropped to 15th in the standings but sit seven points above the relegation zone with 13 league games to play.
