CHIVAS USA: TV schedule is out

2/24/2012

CARSON -- Chivas USA released its 2012 Major League Soccer television schedule Friday, with the bulk of games on the regional Fox channels and independent Spanish-language station KWHY.

Nineteen games will be telecast in English on Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket, and KWHY/Channel 22 will show 18 matches. KDOC/Channel 56, an independent English-language station based in Santa Ana that is showing most of the Galaxy's MLS regular-season games, will feature Chivas six times.

Games also will be shown, nationally, in English on ESPN2 and NBC Sports Network and in Spanish on ESPN Deportes and Galavision. Six games will not be on English-language television -- including three in a four-game stretch in May -- and five have no Spanish-language broadcast. Every game will be shown in English or Spanish.

Christian Miles returns as the play-by-play announcer and Allen Hopkins as analyst for the Fox and KDOC telecasts, and Halim Zadat will handle play-by-play with Gustavo Vargas as analyst on KWHY.
