Azteca America (KAZA/Channel 54), 5:55 p.m.

Second-place America and the fifth-place Xolos, both with just one loss in nine games, tangle in the most anxiously awaited match in Estadio Caliente history. Might it be a playoff preview?

Marymount, from Bel-Air, hopes to upset the Lions for the closest thing to a state title available in California.

The consensus is that the Galaxy, coming off last year's MLS Cup/Supporters' Shield double, are MLS's best side and Real Salt Lake is No. 3. Where they are now, as the league's 17th season kicks off, might be something else entirely.

UC Irvine-bound Pavle Atanackovic leads unbeaten Crescenta Valley into the CIF Southern California Regional Division I title game against the 2010 champs. Both won Southern Section crowns, and the Falcons, from La Crescenta, are coming off a tight win over top-seeded Millikan, from Long Beach.

The game of the year in high school soccer? Los Osos (25-0-3), from Rancho Cucamonga, is No. 1 in ESPNHS Fab 50 winter rankings. Aliso Niguel (21-1-5), from Aliso Viejo, is No. 2. The winner gets the biggest prize in California prep soccer, a CIF Southern California Regional Divison I championship.
