ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Liverpool at Newcastle United

Fox Soccer Plus, 5:30 a.m.

Liverpool aches to return to its days of glory, but five losses in the last six games shows it's going to take time. That's Kenny Dalglish's message, too, and he might switch things up at Newcastle, which is fighting for a Europa Cup berth.

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER

Chicago Fire at Colorado Rapids

Galavision, 4 p.m.

The Fire are primed to battle for a playoff berth, and perhaps more, after missing the postseason the past two seasons, and they look to build on their victory last week against winless Philly. The Rapids got decked by New York, but without Pasadena-born Jeff Larentowicz in midfield, there wasn't much they could do.

MEXICAN PRIMERA DIVISION

TV: KDOC/Channel 56 and KWHY/Channel 22.

MONDAY, APRIL 2

  • TELEVISION

ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Manchester United at Blackburn

ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, 11:55 a.m.

Patient United absorbed Manchester City's phenomenal run to start the season and in the past month has taken command of the EPL race, with a two-point lead and a game in hand following the hated Blues' draw Saturday with Sunderland.
