Last week's dramatic victory over archrival Man United gave City command, sort of, in the EPL title race. The Blues are ahead on goal difference with two games left, but if they can't overcome The Toon at St. James' Park, United likely swoops in for the trophy. Replay: Fox Deportes, 2 p.m.

The Rapids awoke from a little slumber with three late goals against Chivas last week. FC Dallas has drawn its last two games, with Brek Shea converting penalty kicks for the Hoops' lone goals in each. This one is vital in what's expected to be a tight Western race for playoff berths.

UANL Tigres at Morelia

Azteca America (KAZA/Channel 54), 5:55 p.m.

Hector Mancilla
's 22nd-minute goal gave the Apertura champs a 1-0 home win in the first leg. If they can hold on in Michoacan, Tigres heads to the semifinals.

Recreational beach tournament, with teams in three divisions, takes over a swath of sand south of the pier. Finals are at 2:15 p.m.

Wilmington Hammerheads at L.A. Blues

Titan Stadium, Cal State Fullerton, 5 p.m.

The Blues scored their first goals and won their first game Friday against Wilmington. Now they look for a weekend sweep.

Wigan Athletic at Blackburn

ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, 11:55 a.m.


Wigan beat Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle United in the past month to climb out of the relegation zone, and although it's not yet safe, it's close. Blackburn needs a quick run of its own to keep from falling to the second-tier Championship.

FRENCH LIGUE 1

Montpellier at Stade Rennes

Three games left in the season. Montpellier has a three-point lead on Paris Saint-Germain in the title race. Rennes is two points out of a Europa League berth. Replay: 5 p.m.
