SATURDAY, MAY 12
  • TELEVISION
SPANISH LA LIGA
Barcelona at Real Betis
ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, 12:55 p.m.

The Catalans have two games left this season: this La Liga finale and the May 25 Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao. Always worth a watch, even when the game means nothing, as this one does. Replay: ESPN Deportes, 6 p.m.
Also
Valencia at Real Sociedad, ESPN Deportes, 10:50 a.m. and 4 p.m.

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER
Galaxy at Montreal Impact
KDOC/Channel 56 and KWHY/Channel 22, 1 p.m.
L.A. has absorbed back-to-back shutout losses and needs a positive result to find its way to appropriate form. The Impact have won back-to-back MLS games (last weekend's at Sporting Kansas City), both by shutout, and are demonstrating that, expansion team or not, they're going to battle everyone they face. Should make for an interesting first trip to Quebec.
Also
D.C. United at Houston Dynamo, NBC Sports Network, 1:30 p.m.
Vancouver Whitecaps at New England Revolution, MLS Direct Kick, 4:30 p.m.
FC Dallas at Columbus Crew, MLS Direct Kick, 4:30 p.m.
Sporting Kansas City at Chicago Fire, MLS Direct Kick, 4:30 p.m.

MEXICAN PRIMERA DIVISION
America at Monterrey
Univision (KMEX/Channel 34), 6:55 p.m.
The first leg finished 0-0 at Azteca, which gives the Rayados the advantage in this semifinal finale. A draw sends the higher seed (Monterrey) to the final, where Santos Laguna or UANL Tigres will await.
Liga de Ascenso
UAT Correcaminos at Leon, Fox Deportes, 6 p.m.
Uruguayan Liga Profesional de Primera Division
Rampla Juniors at Nacional, GolTV, noon and 8:30 p.m.
Argentine Primera B Nacional
River Plate at Atletico Tucuman, GolTV, 2:30 p.m.

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER
Real Salt Lake at Seattle Sounders
MLS Direct Kick, 7 p.m.
The Sounders are starting to look scary, with Mauro Rosales healthy and Fredy Montero rounding into best form. They're already MLS's deepest team. And RSL is back on top of the Supporters' Shield standings, with 23 points from 12 games. As good as it gets in MLS.
  • ON LOCAL FIELDS
SUEÑO MLS
Sueño MLS Finalists vs. Galaxy Academy
Home Depot Center Field 7 (Carson), 9 a.m.

Second of two games involving 18 finalists from Major League Soccer's “Sueño” talent search, and what occurs will have a big say in who wins the competition.

NATIONAL PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE
Sacramento Gold at FC Hasental
Rancho Santa Susana Community Park (Simi Valley), 5 p.m.
The NPSL's Western Division's first crossover weekend, with NorCal sides taking on the SoCal clubs, brings the Gold -- the top team in the Northern Conference -- down to face Los Conejos, who have built a little, three-game unbeaten streak after dropping their first two games to the top two teams in the South.

USL PREMIER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
FC Tucson at Pali Blues
Palisades High School (Pacific Palisades), 7 p.m.
The Blues' home opener comes against a new PDL club with big aspirations -- and, it appears, some quality. The Arizonans nearly took a point from their debut at defending Southwest Division champ Fresno.

SUNDAY, MAY 13
  • TELEVISION
ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE
Queens Park Rangers at Manchester City
ESPN and ESPN Deportes, 6:55 a.m.

Man City needs to win to ensure its first EPL title since 1968 -- as long as archrival Man United doesn't overcome an eight-goal disadvantage in the tiebreaker. QPR might need at least a draw to hold off Bolton in the battle for the last relegation spot. All nine EPL games, all kicking off at 7, will be shown live, seven of them on a variety of networks (see below) and the other two on online platforms.

Inter Milan at Lazio
Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Deportes, 11:30 a.m.
The Italian season finishes with a showdown of giants, with something on the line. The final Champions League and both Europa League berths are to be determined, and fourth-place Lazio could vault past Udinese and into the big competition with a victory. A loss could leave the Romans out of Europe entirely -- with sixth-place Inter nabbing a Europa League spot. Replay: FSC, midnight.

Can the Goats stop Chris Wondolowski, who has 11 goals already this season and 45 in two years plus two months? As big a question: Can they score on the Quakes?
Also
New York Red Bulls at Philadelphia Union, ESPN2, 9:30 a.m.; ESPN Deportes, 2 p.m.

Univision Deportes, 5:55 p.m.
Santos is on target for a fourth title-series appearance in five competitions after scoring first in a 1-1 draw at Apertura champ Tigres in the semifinal first leg. A win or tie in Torreon leaves the Guerreros 180 minutes (against Monterrey or America) from the trophy.
