Defending champion Lyon, with a lineup featuring former L.A. Sol star Camille Abily, plus Sonia Bompastor and Lotta Schelin, takes on the three-time champion from Germany. FFCF's roster includes American defender Gina Lewandowski.

The top-seeded Brazilians have lost just one of eight games in this year's South American club championship. A Group 4 home game against Boca. Fluz√£o did win the La Bombanera showdown. This is the first leg of the quarterfinals.

The top-seeded Guerreros visit the second-seeded Rayados for the opener of the home-and-home Clausura final, a rematch of the 2010 Apertura championship -- won by Monterrey, which is seeking its third title in seven seasons. Santos, which needed two late goals from Oribe Peralta to pull out its semifinal series against Tigres, have lost in three of the last four title series.

The Fusion are still looking for their first PDL victory, but they scored a big win Tuesday night in the U.S. Open Cup. Utah's Outlaws begin their campaign, starting a two-game Southland swing.

Beach FC, the club run by Long Beach State women's coach Mauricio Ingrassia, makes its WPSL debut against the Vikings club formerly known as “Los Al.”
