WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6
  • TELEVISION
2008 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Portugal vs. Germany
ESPN Classic, 2 p.m.

Only two days until Euro 2012 kicks off, so ESPN Classic is presenting all four quarterfinal games -- this one was the best -- and following up Thursday with both semifinals, the title game and the best match from group play.
Also
Croatia vs. Turkey, ESPN Classic, 7:30 a.m.
Spain vs. Italy, ESPN Classic, 10 a.m.
Netherlands vs. Russia, ESPN Classic, noon
Brazilian Brasileirão
São Paulo at Internacional, ESPN Deportes, 5:30 p.m.
  • ON LOCAL FIELDS
USL W-LEAGUE
Victoria Highlanders at Pali Blues
Palisades High School (Pacific Palisades), 7 p.m.

The Blues have won all four of their games and conceded just one goal, and the next week -- against the Canadians here, then on the trek to Colorado -- could determine whether they'll win the West.

USL PREMIER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
Ventura County Fusion at Southern California Seahorses
Barbour Field, Biola University (La Mirada), 7 p.m.
The Fusion, at this moment, might be the finest PDL club So Cal has seen: They're sprinting through the PDL's Southwest Division and coming off a fine U.S. Open Cup run. The Seahorses are known making things tough on superior sides.
Also
Pali Blues at L.A. Misioneros, Carver Middle School (Los Angeles), 7:30 p.m.
