GARY NEVILLE TESTIMONIAL

Juventus at Manchester United

Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Deportes, 11:30 a.m.

Gary Neville was part of the glorious group of young players that emerged at Manchester United in the early 1990s, and he retired this year after spending his entire career with the club, a very rare thing indeed. Now the club and his pals, including the Galaxy's David Beckham, pay homage. Replay: Fox Deportes, 4:30 p.m.; FSC, 8 p.m.

CARLING NATIONS CUP

Northern Ireland at Ireland

ESPN Deportes, 11:40 a.m.

The first rendition of a new Home Countries competition -- with Ireland replacing mighty England in a four-nation, six-game tournament -- started in February and wraps up in the next week. A battle between the Irelands is a highlight.

CARLING NATIONS CUP

Scotland vs. Wales

ESPN Deportes, 11:40 a.m.

The Scots whipped Northern Ireland in their opener in this four-nation British/Irish competition, and an expected victory here likley will set up a title showdown with Ireland.

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER

Colorado Rapids at New York Red Bulls

MLS Direct Kick, 4:30 p.m.

The Red Bulls might be MLS's best team, but they're skidding. The Rapids are MLS's reigning champion, but they aren't winning either. It doesn't make this showdown any less attractive.

Also

FC Dallas at Seattle Sounders, MLS Direct Kick, 7 p.m.

Houston Dynamo at Galaxy, Prime Ticket, 7:30 p.m.

COPA LIBERTADORES

Cerro Porteņo (Paraguay) at Santos (Brazil)

Fox Deportes, 5:30 p.m.

The first leg in a semifinal-series rematch of two tight clashes in group play. The first meeting, in Santos, finished 1-1, both goals on PKs. The Brazilians pulled out a 2-1 victory six weeks late in Asuncion. Replay: 11 p.m.

Colombian Liga Postobon

Deportes Tolima at Cucuta Deportivo, GolTV, 6 p.m.

USL PREMIER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE

Southern California Seahorses at Orange County Blue Star

Concordia University (Irvine), 5 p.m.

Blue Star got knocked around by the Ventura County Fusion last week, and that isn't good news for the La Mirada-based Seahorses. What is good news: The Seahorses are off to a 2-1-0 start.

MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER

Houston Dynamo at Galaxy

Home Depot Center (Carson), 7:30 p.m.

David Beckham won't be there, but the way the Galaxy is playing these days, it shouldn't matter. It shouldn't, but Beckham's picture-perfect passes have been pivotal to a reawakened attack, and this year's Dynamo could be closer to the great teams a few years ago than to last year's disaster.
