Bedoya called in after Feilhaber hurt

U.S. Soccer announced Alejandro Bedoya has joined the U.S. national team camp in Cary, N.C., while Benny Feilhaber's injury is evaluated ahead of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Injury substitutions must be made no later than 24 hours before a team's opener; the U.S. faces Canada on June 7 in Detroit.

Feilhaber (Northwood HS/UCLA) suffered an ankle injury late in the New England Revolution's 1-0 loss Saturday night to the Galaxy, and media reports had him in a walking boot after the game.

Bedoya, who was on the World Cup preliminary roster last year, was left off the Gold Cup roster a week ago when U.S. coach Bob Bradley announced his team for the June 5-25 regional nations championship. Bedoya has had a phenomenal start to the season for Swedish club Örebro SK, scoring five goals in his first nine matches in the top-tier Allsvenskan.
