The Ventura County Fusion have a closed-door clash with Manchester City FC slated for Saturday morning at Loyola Marymount, making for a long day for the Premier Development League power.
The Fusion, who lost Friday night to Argentina's Independiente in an Oxnard College friendly, finish their PDL regular season tonight at Ventura College against the L.A. Legends. It will be their sixth game in nine days.
Man City, the reigning English F.A. Cup champions, take on the Galaxy on Sunday afternoon at Home Depot Center. Blues manager Roberto Mancini has pledged to use as many of his first-choice players for 90 minutes against L.A., so he's expected to play a reserve lineup against the Fusion.
Saturday's friendly kicks off at 11 a.m.
UPDATE (4:50 p.m.): Manchester City won the game, 2-0.
