April 2/3: What to watch, where to go

MONDAY, APRIL 2

ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE
Manchester United at Blackburn
ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, 11:55 a.m.

Patient United absorbed Manchester City's phenomenal run to start the season and in the past month has taken command of the EPL race, with a two-point lead and a game in hand following the hated Blues' draw Saturday with Sunderland.

CONCACAF OLYMPIC QUALIFYING
Mexico vs. Honduras
Telemundo (KVEA/Channel 52), 5 p.m.
The region's London-bound teams meet for CONCACAF's U-23 title, a rematch of last weekend's Home Depot Center clash won, 3-0, by Mexico.

MLS RESERVE LEAGUE
Chivas USA at Galaxy
Home Depot Center University Field 1 (Carson), 11 a.m.

The first SuperClasico of the season occurs on the Galaxy's training field, with a Reserve League opener certain to include players you know. And it's free to see.

TUESDAY, APRIL 3

WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY
United States vs. Brazil
ESPN2, 4 a.m.

Diamond Bar's Alex Morgan has a dozen goals in 2012, and she leads the U.S. in its second Kirin Challenge Cup clash, the Americans' first meeting with Brazil since the dramatic Women's World Cup quarterfinal last summer.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
AC Milan (Italy) at Barcelona (Spain)
Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Deportes, 11:30 a.m.
The Rossoneri considered it a victory, almost, when they held Barca to a 0-0 draw at the San Siro in last week's quarterfinal first leg. The Nou Camp presents totally different challenges, and stopping Lionel Messi and Xavi a second time won't be simple. Replays: Fox Soccer Plus, 2 and 9 p.m.; Fox Deportes, 4 a.m.; FSC, 5 p.m.
Also
Olympique Marseille (France) at Bayern Munich (Germany), Fox Sports West, 111:30 a.m.; Fox Soccer Plus, 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; Fox Soccer Channel, 2 and 8:30 p.m.; Fox Deportes, 2 p.m.

COPA LIBERTADORES
Cruz Azul (Mexico) at Deportivo Tachira (Venezuela)
Fox Deportes, 6 p.m.
Mexico City's Cementeros are on the verge of round-of-16 qualification and can all but ensure passage -- and clinch if Nacional can't beat first-place Corinthians -- with a Group 6 victory at winless Tachira.
Also
Vasco da Gama (Brazil) at Alianza Lima (Peru), Fox Deportes, 11 p.m.
