Fremont High School won its first CIF Los Angeles City Section boys soccer title in nearly two decades Saturday night, but it took just a little longer than the Pathfinders thought it would.

Emmanuel Corona's bicycle kick seven minutes into overtime gave the South Los Angeles school a 2-1 triumph over San Fernando in the Large Schools final at Contreras Learning Center in downtown L.A.

The game was a rematch of the 2010 final, won by San Fernando.

Fremont (19-4-4), which last won a boys soccer title in 1993, appeared to score the winner with four minutes to play in regulation, when San Fernando goalkeeper Erick Garcia was whistled for a foul in the box, and Jose Alvarez converted the penalty kick. The Tigers (21-3-3) rallied on Omar Vasquez's header with 27 seconds to go.

In other City Section finals:

El Camino Real 6, Palisades 0: The Conquistadores (22-2-2) finished their easy march through the Divisional bracket, claiming their 11th top-tier girls title in a dozen years as Dylann O'Connor, Zoe Fishman and Jackie Hilario scored two goals each. Chatsworth also has 11 titles, most in City girls soccer.

El Camino Real, from Woodland Hills, outscored four playoff opponents, 28-0. Palisades (17-5-0), from Pacific Palisades, gave ECR its toughest battle.

Chatsworth High School was given a second chance when Granada Hills reported it had used an ineligible player in the CIF Los Angeles City Section girls soccer playoffs.

That chance didn't last long.

Top-seeded El Camino Real (21-2-2) romped into another title game, dismantling the Chancellors, 7-0, Wednesday evening to advance to Saturday afternoon's final against Palisades at Contreras Learning Center in downtown Los Angeles.

It's a rematch of last year's final, and ECR, from Woodland Hills, is looking for its 11th title in 12 years. Chatsworth holds the City Section record with 11 girls soccer championships. The Conquistadores have won their three playoff games by a combined 20-0 tally.

ECR romped to a 6-0 halftime lead as Dylann O'Connor scored two goals, and Zoe Fishman, Jackie Hilario and Carley McBeath each added a goal and an assist. It scored 20 goals in three shutout wins over the Chancellors this season.

Chatsworth (8-12-4) lost in overtime to Granada Hills in last week's quarterfinals, but the team was restored to the bracket when the Highlanders forfeited the victory Monday.

Palisades (17-4-0), from Pacific Palisades, won its semifinal Tuesday, with Katie van Daalen Wetters and Eve Babcock scoring in a 2-1 decision over Cleveland (13-9-5), from Reseda.

ECR won last year's matchup, 1-0, 27 minutes into overtime. Palisades' other trip to the final, in 2005, was a 4-0 loss to the Conquistadores.
