GALAXY: The buzz is Beckham stays

David Beckham's proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain is looking iffier and iffier, with the latest reports across the Atlantic claiming he's leaning toward re-signing with the Galaxy.

It's about family, as we always thought it would be, with sources “close to” Beckham telling British tabloid Daily Mail that he is reluctant to relocate his family, which is happily settled in Beverly Hills.

And now there are questions about Paris Saint-Germain's desire to sign the English superstar. French sports daily L'Equipe reports that new PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti would rather bring in Brazilian midfielder Kak√°, from Real Madrid, as Leonardo, the club's sporting director, says he's willing to give Beckham more time to consider the offer.

“The question has never been professional but about family. It is a difficult choice to make the whole family move to Paris,” Leonardo said in remarks published by Sky Sports. “We will wait a little. It is a personal choice, and it is not that easy to him. We have some time, and he has some time, too.

"We never stated it has been done. There is no contract. We won't push him -- we respect him a lot. I know him and have an amazing admiration toward him both as a player and as a father. I can understand it is difficult to move. We will leave him in peace.”

Beckham is expected to make a decision after talks with Simon Fuller, whose XIX Entertainment serves as Beckham's agents. His five-year, $32.5 million contract with the Galaxy expired Dec. 31, but L.A. reportedly has offered a rolling one-year contract to replace it. PSG is dangling an 18-month, $18.7 million pact, according to media reports.

KEANE TO VILLA?: Robbie Keane was adamant following the Major League Soccer season that he was not interested in an offseason loan, but there appears to be interest in England to bring him back for a spell.

The British media claimed in unsourced reports that Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish is seeking to bring in the Irish striker for January and February.

Galaxy captain Landon Donovan is on loan through Feb. 24 to Everton and figures to debut in the Toffees' English Premier League match Wednesday against Bolton. Frenchman Thierry Henry has returned on loan to Arsenal from the New York Red Bulls.

AFRICANS IN RUSSIA: Samuel Eto'o isn't the only Russian-based African striker L.A. is chasing, if you believe the reports out there. MNTFootball, a website that covers African soccer, reports the Galaxy are pursuing Nigerian national-teamer Obafemi Martins, 27, who plays for Rubin Kazan after terms with Inter Milan, Newcastle United and VfL Wolfsburg.

MTNFootball reported that “it is believed” Martins met with Galaxy officials Saturday in Lagos, Nigeria, and the forward told the website he has been made aware of interest from the MLS club.

“I have been told by some people about this interest a few days ago, but at the moment I remain a player of Rubin Kazan, and I still have a year and half of my contract to run, even though that could be like around the corner,” Martins said. “I’m on holidays right now and need to enjoy it without worrying about anything like a transfer.”

Obafemi, who moved to Italy at 16 to play in Italian club Reggiana's youth system, has struggled to integrate at Rubin Kazan, where he signed in July 2010. He spent six months on loan to Birmingham City last year, requesting the move to be closer to family following the birth of his first child.

FAMILY TIES: The buzz surrounding the possibility Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, 33, could come to L.A. is gaining steam in Britain, and much of the conversation concerns Lampard's fiancee, Christine Bleakley. She's a television “presenter” -- she was a host of ITV's morning talk show “Daybreak” until last month and is set to become a co-host of the network's “Dancing On Ice” celebrity ice skating show this year -- and a move to Los Angeles could be a boon for her career.

Daily Mirror reports Bleakley could join the cast on the U.S. version of “The X Factor,” on the Fox network, after “a source” said Simon Cowell, the show's creator, has “always maintained at some point they will work together.”

Friends of hers, the newspaper claimed, say she's open to an L.A. move following her and Lampard's wedding next summer.

U-20 CALL-UPS: Galaxy Home Grown forward Jack McBean (Newport Beach/Corona del Mar HS) and midfielder Jose Villarreal (Inglewood/Leuzinger HS) are among 32 players U.S. under-20 national team coach Tab Ramos has in camp this week in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Other local players on the roster are Real Salt Lake midfielder Luis Gil (Garden Grove/Santiago HS), UANL Tigres defender Juan Pablo Ocegueda (Riverside/Saddleback HS), and Club America midfielder Hector Delgado Cha (Indio).
