Apparently, Pac-10 men's soccer coaches think UCLA will absorb the loss of seven starters just fine.

The two-time defending Pac-10 champion Bruins are expected to complete the trifecta this year, according to a preseason coaches poll. UCLA advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals last fall and received five of the six first-place votes.

Keep in mind that coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams, meaning UCLA coach Jorge Salcedo's vote is blatant. So who did Salcedo peg as his team's biggest competitor? Stanford, which reached the third round of last year's NCAA tournament.

UCLA opens the season against Notre Dame on Sept. 3 in Bloomington, Ind.
