Kevin Prince, who led UCLA to a 34-12 victory over the Longhorns last year in Austin will start at quarterback for UCLA's game against Texas Saturday at the Rose Bowl.

Prince, a junior, started the season opener this year at Houston, but left early in the second quarter after suffering a shoulder injury. He was limited in practice last week and sat out UCLA's 27-17 victory over San Jose State, but had a full week of practice this week and again gets the nod over Richard Brehaut.

Brehaut has passed for 409 yards and three touchdowns without an interception in Prince's absence. The two have been engaged in a battle for the starting role since the beginning of training camp and coach Rick Neuheisel said neither has won the starting role outright.

He said this week that both quarterbacks "would be available" against Texas, but did not guarantee that both would play.

Prince completed three of three passes for 58 yards in his limited action in the season opener this season. Last year against Texas, he rushed for 50 yards--including a 38-yard touchdown run, and passed for a touchdown.
