At this rate, the UCLA baseball team may never lose again.

All joking aside, the Bruins continued their early-season dominance Friday night, beating Texas A&M Corpus Christi 11-3 in the opening game of the Whataburger Classic to improve to 11-0.

Ace pitcher Gerrit Cole was at it again, striking out 15 of the 30 batters he faced to earn his fourth victory of the season.

The sophomore right-hander received good run support early when sophomore Tyler Rahmatulla hit a two-run home run in the first. No. 15 UCLA scored two more in the third, one in the fourth and four in the fifth to jump out to a 9-1 lead. Rahmatulla had three hits to push his average to .468.

UCLA plays Mississippi State (9-4) on Saturday and No. 25 Oklahoma (14-1) on Sunday.
