UCLA is expected to bring in nearly 2 1/2 times more revenue from its new television contract with the Pacific-12 Conference beginning next year, according to a conference source.

All of the schools in the Pac-12 are expected to earn approximately $15 million next season in the first year of a new 12-year television contract with ESPN and Fox that averages $225 million per year.

The conference's current television contract netted $54.5 million in 2010-11 with UCLA earning $6.3 million, the source said.

That is why Bruins athletic director Dan Guerrero was so bold in proclaiming Monday that the school is "in a different league" now, with respect to the coaching search it will conduct to replace Rick Neuheisel.

"Certainly having more financial ammunition gives us the opportunity to look at a greater pool," Guerrero said. "It’s going to be a lot more significant than I’ve ever had in the past."

Guerrero also noted that the school will likely draw from private donations in how it pays its next football coach.

A university source told ESPNLosAngeles.com Monday that the Bruins are prepared to spend at least $2 million a season on their next football coach, possibly even $3 million for the right candidate.

According to another university source, UCLA has focused in on Boise State's Chris Petersen, Houston coach Kevin Sumlin, Cincinnati coach Butch Jones and former Oregon head coach Mike Bellotti. Petersen and Bellotti were candidates four years ago when Neuheisel was hired.

Neuheisel was paid $1.25 million annually over the four years he coached at the school. He is owed a $250,000 buyout.
