When it rains...
UCLA and Washington have been pouring in shots during the first half at Pauley Pavilion.
The Bruins trail the Huskies 41-37 at halftime, but it could be worse had UCLA not shot 55 percent from the field (12 of 22).
The Huskies, meanwhile, are shooting 58 percent (14 of 24), including six for 12 from beyond the arc.
Remarkably, coach Ben Howland has stuck with a 2-3 zone defense despite Washington's hot shooting. The Huskies lead the Pacific 10 Conference with an average of more than 80 points a game.
Huskies forward Quincy Pondexter leads all scorers with 15 points. He has made three three-point baskets spotting up in front of the UCLA bench.
Sophomore guard Malcolm Lee has 10 points for the Bruins.
