LOS ANGELES -- USC receiver George Farmer promised he'll be practicing with the Trojans on Thursday after sitting out the past two days because of a hamstring injury.
The sophomore has struggled with a myriad nagging injuries since arriving on campus a year ago and sat out most of spring practice this year with a similar issue to his current one. But he downplayed it all when speaking after Wednesday's practice, during which he received treatment.
"I'm doing good," Farmer said. "I'll be out here tomorrow ready to go."
Farmer said he was very confident that he'll be in the mix at the third-receiver spot as soon as he's healthy and doesn't feel as if he has fallen behind by being out.
"I just gotta come out here and do what I do best," Farmer said. "Help the team out, work hard and get out here and catch passes."
USC coach Lane Kiffin said he didn't know if Farmer would be on the field Thursday.
"George Farmer hasn't done anything, so we don't know with him," Kiffin said.
