USC tight end Randall Telfer was named the Pac-12 special teams player of the week Monday.

Telfer, a redshirt sophomore, blocked a 48-yard field-goal attempt and made a one-handed 23-yard touchdown grab in the Trojans' 38-28 win over Utah on Thursday.

He is the second Trojan to earn special teams player of the week honors this season. Receiver Marqise Lee won it after a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the season opener against Hawaii.

Stanford quarterback Josh Nunes and Cal defensive back Kameron Jackson were named the offensive and defensive players of the week. No USC player has won either honor yet this year.
