Miami morning take: Odrick changes agents

October, 17, 2013
Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Thursday from around the web:
  • Dolphins defensive tackle Jared Odrick switched agents from Drew Rosenhaus to Eugene Parker, according to Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal.
Morning take: This usually means Odrick is gearing up for a payday. He’s playing well this season and showing his versatility. Three defensive tackles -- Odrick, Randy Starks, Paul Soliai -- could be looking for contract extensions next season.
  • Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post wonders what position the Dolphins will fill with their open roster spot.
Morning take: It’s been nearly 48 hours and the Dolphins still haven’t signed or claimed a player after cutting defensive lineman Marvin Austin. There’s a good chance an offensive linemen could come soon.
  • Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald writes about the homecoming of Buffalo Bills quarterback Thad Lewis.
Morning take: Lewis is a Miami native making his second start of the season. He could make a good story for himself if he pulls out a win not far from where he grew up.
  • The entire staff of the Sun Sentinel predicts the Dolphins will beat the Bills.
Morning take: Miami rightfully should be favored in this game, but AFC East matchups are usually competitive. My prediction is coming up this afternoon.
