A weekly examination of the Dolphins' ESPN.com Power Ranking:

Preseason: 20 | Last Week: 14 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002

The Miami Dolphins continue their free fall in ESPN.com’s Power Rankings. Miami lost its third consecutive game Sunday to the Buffalo Bills to fall to 3-3 on the season. The result was the Dolphins falling two more spots to No. 16.

After a fast 3-0 start, not much has gone right in Miami. The Dolphins are having issues with pass protection and sloppy play, and quarterback Ryan Tannehill has seven turnovers (five interceptions, two lost fumbles) in the past three games. The Dolphins are back to the middle of the pack and deserve their ranking.

Things won’t get easier for Miami. The Dolphins will travel to Foxborough to play the AFC East-leading New England Patriots (5-2). Miami was swept by New England in two games last season.
