Miami morning take: Lamar Miller's role

  • Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald shines the spotlight on new Dolphins starting running back Lamar Miller.
Miami morning take: Miller will get most of the carries this season in Miami. He has shown good burst, but must work on pass-blocking and catching the ball out of the backfield, among other things.
Miami morning take: The most interesting part is that defensive tackles Randy Starks and Jared Odrick are listed as co-starters. Both will play, but perhaps the coaching staff doesn't want either to feel like a backup.
Miami morning take: Carpenter has been all over the country since being released by the Dolphins. He was signed and released by both the Arizona Cardinals and New York Jets before landing in Buffalo. With rookie Dustin Hopkins injured, Carpenter is expected to kick Sunday against the New England Patriots.
