DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins (8-6) began preparations for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills (5-9).

Here are some notes from Tuesday’s practice:
  • Miami got some good news as starting cornerbacks Brent Grimes (cramps) and Nolan Carroll (knee) returned to practice. Both players were at least limited in the portion open to the media. Grimes and Carroll couldn’t finish their last game against the New England Patriots due to injuries.
  • Dolphins defensive tackle Paul Soliai also practiced and did individual drills on Tuesday. Soliai injured his ankle in the first half against the Patriots and didn’t return to the game.
  • A key Miami player who didn’t practice was running back Daniel Thomas. He stayed on the sideline during the portion of practice open to the media. Thomas has been dealing with an ankle injury the past few weeks.
  • The Dolphins made one roster move on Tuesday. They were awarded defensive back Jalil Brown from the practice squad of the Indianapolis Colts and cut defensive back D.J. Campbell.
