The Miami Dolphins have more than 20 restricted and unrestricted free agents this offseason. But only one player can be considered the top priority.

Our latest “Poll Friday” for Dolphins fans was a landslide. Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes was a no-brainer choice as Miami’s biggest in-house free agent. Grimes received more than 90 percent of the vote in one of our most lopsided poll results.

I agree with the majority of Dolphins fans. It is a must that Miami brings back Grimes. He is the one free agent the Dolphins cannot afford to lose.

Grimes has earned a long-term extension. But the Dolphins also have the option to use the one-year franchise tag. It would be surprising if Grimes doesn’t return to Miami in some capacity.

According to Dolphins, defensive tackle Paul Soliai was a distant second in terms of in-house free agents. Fellow defensive tackle Randy Starks was third, and safety Chris Clemons was fourth in our SportsNation poll.
