Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Friday from around the Web:
  • Adam Beasley and Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald report free-agent cornerback Cortland Finnegan will visit the Dolphins Friday.
Morning take: Miami still has a hole at cornerback opposite Pro Bowler Brent Grimes. Finnegan could provide a veteran presence if he comes with an affordable price tag.
  • Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel reports the Dolphins will host offensive lineman Shelley Smith.
Morning take: Miami is far from done fixing the offensive line. Branden Albert solidified the left tackle spot. But they still need guards and a right tackle. Morning take: It’s been a solid start so far. Miami filled holes at left tackle, safety and defensive tackle in the first few days.
  • Greg Stoda of the Palm Beach Post writes it’s so far, so good for new Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey.
Morning take: Hickey filled needs early and in most cases he’s not overpaying. He also traded Jonathan Martin and got compensation, which was a good move.
