The NFL draft is nearly halfway in the books. All 32 teams completed the first three rounds on Thursday and Friday.
Saturday presents Day 3, which is the final installment of the draft for Rounds 4-7. Here is an updated look at where the Miami Dolphins stand:
Day 3 picks: Miami has a fourth-rounder (No. 125), two fifth-rounders (No. 155, 171), a sixth-rounder (No. 190) and a seventh-rounder (No. 234).
Remaining needs: Linebacker, safety, tight end
Analysis: The Dolphins did a lot of wheeling and dealing on Day 2. Miami first-year general manager Dennis Hickey traded three times Friday with the San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders. In the end, the Dolphins selected wide receiver Jarvis Landry and offensive lineman Billy Turner in the second and third rounds, respectively. Miami is in a good spot Saturday where the team has five draft picks and doesn’t have any glaring needs on its roster. The Dolphins can use depth at several positions, including linebacker, safety and tight end. But Miami has the luxury to simply take the highest-rated players on its board.
