I’m back from an extended vacation and ready to rock for the 2014 season.
Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Monday from around the Web:
Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com believes Dolphins' tailback Knowshon Moreno is on the roster bubble.
Morning take: I disagree. The Dolphins made a decent, one-year investment in Moreno and do not have enough good backs to challenge his roster spot. Moreno will make the team, but he has ground to make up to catch incumbent starter Lamar Miller.
Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald writes the Dolphins are expected to sell out their first three home games.
Morning take: This is good news for the Dolphins, who have had attendance problems. The best way to fix it is by winning. Otherwise, South Florida fans quickly lose interest in paying for a bad on-field product.
The Sun Sentinel ranks Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill as the No. 2 quarterback in the AFC East.
Morning take: Tom Brady of the New England Patriots is the obvious top quarterback in the division. Tannehill has the tools to develop, but he must win more games in a big third year.
According to the Associated Press, the Dolphins’ biggest focus in training camp will be the offensive line.
Morning take: Miami will have five new starters in Week 1 following center Mike Pouncey’s hip surgery. Player for player, the offensive line has improved. But continuity is a concern.
