NFLN survey/player safety: Dolphins
By James Walker
ESPN.com's NFL Nation surveyed more than 300 players on a variety of topics. Our latest results were posted on concussion safety.
The questions were complex: Would a player participate in the Super Bowl with a concussion and is the NFL committed to player safety?
A majority of players (85 percent) said they would play in the Super Bowl with a concussion. This answer has many layers. It's clear that is a normal stance around the league. But it's up to the NFL and team doctors to protect players from themselves.
The results on player safety were mixed. Sixty-percent of players believes the NFL is committed to player safety. The rules changes have been significant in that direction. But there is still a large percentage -- 40 percent – who are not impressed.
ESPN.com will continue to release more player poll results throughout Super Bowl week.
